It all started with craft brewing our traditional rice beer known as Makgeolli (막걸리). Our Two Flowers Makgeolli won Gold at the 2022 and 2023 L.A. Spirit Awards and serves as the base of the 2022 and 2023 Silver-winning Soju (2023 Gold, here we come). We make the Makgeolli right outside LA. It's bubbly, sweet, and refreshing. We think it's the perfect Makgeolli. We then take that and then distill it right here in Pasadena for the most authentic and cleanest tasting Soju you can find. We aren't aware of anyone else making their own traditional Makgeolli and distilling it into an authentic Soju here in LA County, but if there is, send us their email because we have a lot to empathize with them on.

Its alot of California rice, a little bit of wheat, and no compromises. 

Its craft, small batches, small business, minority and Veteran owned. 

As to the name, ANGMA translates to Demon in Korean Buddhism. It's the Spirit "pulling you off-course." We believe this shouldn't be demonized, it should be embraced. ANGMA is that feeling to break free, to do something different, to be true to nobody but yourself. Return to basics when it doesn't need to be complicated, and add complexity to the mundane.
